The idea of living a green life and doing the green thing is not one that is very new. What is new revolving around being green is the fact that there are so many every day, typical people who are willing to go that extra mile in order to make sure that they are reducing their carbon footprint and living a sustainable lifestyle. All of that is fantastic, and while in some aspects going green is becoming much easier, there are other cases where it proves to still be a little difficult to do. One of those instances is when it comes to being green with your little one, your baby. My best friend just had her first child, a son, and it is her wish to be as green as she possibly can when it comes to all aspects of rearing her child. The only downfall is that she has found it to be a little harder than being green in other areas of life. She has found some ways to have a green baby though, and I thought I would share those with you. Reusable diapers, organic and eco-friendly baby clothing, and BPA free bottles are great places to start if you are looking to have the greenest baby on the block. -It is very understandable as to why people would choose to use disposable diapers. You have to love something that is so easy to clean by tossing it out. The thing is though that using disposable diapers mean a whole lot of waste. When you are tyring to be green, you know that waste is not something you want to have a lot of. Look into getting cloth reusable diapers instead. Even if you only use those when you are home and still use the disposable ones for outings, you will be greatly reducing your impact on the environment. -Clothing is another way you can have a green baby. There are many stores that are starting to carry green clothing, bedding, blankets, toys, and more for your baby. When you are looking for these items make sure that you see that they are made up of organic cotton or bamboo or eco-friendly soy. -The bottle that you choose for your bundle of joy can also have green qualities. One way to make sure that you are not potentially harming your baby is to use glass bottles or those that are BPA free. -Following the above tips can have you and your new addition well on the way to living a greener life.
